OpenUK Awards 2024

We were honoured to be shortlisted in the OpenUK awards this the year, the “oscars of open source”. Our CEO, David Rogers attended the annual awards dinner at the House of Lords on the 28th of November.

The awards winners were the Linux Firmware Update Service which does a fantastic job in helping ensure patches are deployed – a part of the security solution, not the problem.

To have our company short listed in the security category was super nice and pays testament to the hard work of all of our staff and contractors over the years, who have striven to support not only open source but openness and transparency around security practices. This is also our approach with our customers and in organisations where we volunteer, such as in the GSMA. With our own research publications and websites, we also publish the data openly under a CC BY 4.0 license or similar. We truly believe that only when we’re honest about where our collective problems are can we succeed in fixing them and therefore improve overall security!
